for memorial day weekend, my family went up to open our cabin with the goldbecks. the ice had apparently just melted two weeks before, so the lake was very cold! we brought up our kayaks, and erika and briana went out to one of the islands in the paddle boat. dane and i decided to go after them in the kayaks, and we stole the paddle boat and moved it to the end of a log. they were quite angry, and tried to splash us. it is never wise to splash someone when you are in a slow moving paddle boat and the other people are in a kayak. Erika and Briana were very very wet by the time they got back to the cabin. I also managed to get sunburned on only one shoulder, despite the application of spf 50 sunscreen. on sunday, there were huge ginormous thunderstorms we had to drive though to get back and i think i may have seen a tornado. today i had to march in the parade with band, and it was very warm. i also had a cold, so getting up at 8 was not my idea of a good extra day off. only 8 days of school left for us, and then summer!!

Urgh- long band concerts

I had my band concert today and it didn't finish until 10:00! and it started at 7! that is way to long. i couldn't even leave early because i played last. why do these things go so late?!?! on Saturday, the youth symphony is opening for the Chippewa valley symphony, and that will probably go late to, but at least its a Saturday. On a more positive note, its finally warm! and i had 2 lovely pieces of art in the art show. Oh state solo ensemble was on Saturday and i got a 1! yay!

Hanna's Monthly Update

• Took ACT again, got a 31 again
• Weather got nicer, then decided to be stupid
• 1* on my clarinet solo, so state is next Saturday (in Eau Claire)
• and the SAT is also Saturday (morning
• Prom is next next Saturday as well. EDIT: I'm not going
  
• Mock car crash was today and we all got soaked in the rain
• Youth Symphony auditions tomorrow, and I have a pretty solo in one of the pieces for our concert
• Tomorrow I'm going to see Juno at the Budget with my youth symphony group
• Really want to be done with school and have vacation!

We have a snow day. and no this is not an April fools joke. it really snowed 4-5 inches last night. welcome to spring...

March!

Spring is finally here! It got to 50 degrees today! All the snow is melting and it is sunny and b-e-a-utiful. There is a huge lake in my driveway which makes it hard to park. I started AP Gov, which would be a good class with a different teacher. I also have gym, which is a comedown from painting. Elisabeth and I are working on a duet for solo ensemble, and I am doing a violin and clarinet solo. I moved up to second chair in band, and the first chair was gone today, so I had to play the solo. (yikes!) One more day of school, then SPRING BREAK! I am going college shopping with my dad in New York, Michigan, and Milwaukee. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with the Memorial female portion of the Youth Symphony woodwinds and we are going bowling. Hope life is good for every one else!

i got sick

Sorry about not responding and stuff, i got a cold Saturday. we'll have to do something next weekend Paula and Elisabeth.

because i am so boring

it's feb, the snow is still coming down. i really hope we have a snow day tomorrow b/c i didn't finish my gov. I GOT A CELL PHONE! YAY! then you don't have to wait for me to post.
